E&Emirates reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Emirati citizens in the technological landscape through its ongoing partnership with the Emirati Talents Competitiveness Council, “NAFES”. The collaboration aims to integrate Emirati talent into the company’s technological advancements, furthering the nation’s progress and growth agenda.
During a dedicated ceremony, E&Emirates honored citizens who joined the company under the cooperation agreement with “NAFES”, signed in October 2022. The agreement aimed to attract 500 citizens over five years, surpassing expectations with over 460 Emiratis employed across various departments including retail, call centers, human resources, technology, and technical support.
The event, attended by His Excellency Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council “NAFES”, showcased the success of the partnership in fostering Emirati participation in the private sector. Speaking on the occasion, Al Mazrouei lauded the partnership’s impact, highlighting the societal shift towards private sector employment and expressing optimism for increased Emirati participation in the future.
Masoud M. Sherif Mahmoud, CEO of E&Emirates, emphasized the company’s dedication to nurturing Emirati talent, citing programs like the Artificial Intelligence Graduates Program and ongoing efforts to attract and appoint more Emirati cadres. With a commitment to fostering leadership and excellence, E&Emirates remains steadfast in its support for the nation’s digital future.
Ali Al Mansouri, CEO of Human Resources for E&Emirates, underscored the importance of nurturing Emirati talent through platforms like NAFES, providing training and qualifications to ensure a smooth transition into the technology sector. The company’s recognition as the “Best Work Environment” in the UAE reflects its dedication to employee empowerment and professional development.
E&Emirates’ long-term strategic plan has yielded impressive Emiratisation rates, with 53 percent of its workforce comprising Emirati citizens, including over 61 percent in senior management positions. The company’s commitment to gender diversity is evident, with 79 percent of its female employees being Emirati.
As part of its efforts to enrich citizens’ digital experiences, E&Emirates offers exclusive discounts of up to 50% on selected packages for citizens registered on the NAFES platform, further enhancing opportunities for Emirati talent in the private sector.
