Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has officially announced Eid al-Fitr holidays for 1446 Hijri, confirming that work across all government entities, departments, and institutions will be suspended from the 1st of Shawwal until the 3rd of Shawwal 1446 AH.
According to the circular issued by DGHR, official work will resume on the 4th of Shawwal 1446 AH. Additionally, if Ramadan completes 30 days, the 30th day of Ramadan will be included as part of the Eid holiday.
The announcement clarifies that employees working on shifts or those responsible for public service operations will be exempt from the holiday. The respective entities will determine their work schedules based on operational requirements to ensure continuous service delivery.
Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is a significant Islamic celebration observed with prayers, gatherings, and festivities. The official holiday declaration allows government employees to spend time with family and participate in religious and cultural traditions.
