The Dubai Club for People of Determination Ramadan Festival concluded on a celebratory note, recognizing the achievements of participants in sports, cultural, and community events, as well as honoring sponsors, contributors, and volunteers.
The Stars team claimed the five-a-side football title, the administrators secured victory in volleyball, while Al Wasl emerged as the girls’ basketball champions.
Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, praised the festival’s success and the diverse participation, highlighting the achievements of People of Determination across multiple fields.
“These individuals are people of high ambition who continue to change perceptions and embody the spirit of sportsmanship through their participation,” Berregad said. He expressed gratitude to the success partners, parents, and volunteers who contributed to the festival’s success, emphasizing that teamwork and dedication played a key role in achieving the festival’s objectives.
Berregad also underlined the festival’s role in fostering cultural awareness among the younger generation of People of Determination, saying, “The festival has enriched Ramadan evenings with competition and joy while promoting heritage and cultural values.”
Majid Al Usaimi, Executive Director of the Club and Director of the Festival, highlighted the event’s alignment with the Year of Community 2025, reflecting efforts to strengthen social ties, preserve cultural heritage, and create inclusive environments that promote social responsibility.
“Our wise leadership continues to inspire us to transform disability into energy,” Usaimi stated. He also applauded the efforts of the organizing teams, led by Fawzia Al Balushi, Assistant Executive Director and Director of the Cultural and Community Activities Department, as well as the athletes, parents, and volunteers.
“The People of Determination have once again demonstrated their ability to overcome challenges. The pride and commitment shown by participants affirm that the festival has achieved its intended goals,” Usaimi added, expressing his hopes to build on this year’s success in future editions.
The festival concluded with a spirit of inclusivity and empowerment, reflecting the Dubai Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting People of Determination and fostering an environment where they can thrive in all aspects of life.
