In a remarkable act of generosity, Jainam (13) and Jivika (10), two Dubai-based siblings originally from India, have decided to give away a domain they purchased in support of a young software developer. The siblings, who had bought the JioHotstar domain from a Delhi-based developer, have now chosen to offer it to the Indian conglomerate Reliance for free.
The decision comes after Reliance reportedly offered the duo Rs10 million to purchase the domain, a proposal the siblings declined in favor of donating it.
The story began in 2017, when Jainam and Jivika started a YouTube channel to share unboxing videos and science-related content. Their focus later shifted to podcasts and interviews with influential personalities. Over time, they became role models for young children, promoting learning, goal-setting, and charitable activities.
During their travels, the siblings received donations, part of which they used to purchase the JioHotstar domain. Initially, the domain was left open for sale, but when they started receiving multiple offers—some genuine, others not—the siblings made it clear they had no intention of selling. They revealed that their purchase of the domain was to support the Delhi-based developer’s education, not for profit.
“After reflecting on all the discussions, we now feel it might be best for Team Reliance to have this domain, if they want it. We are happy to give jiohotstar.com to them for free, with all the proper paperwork,” the duo said in a statement online.
The siblings emphasized that their decision to gift the domain was entirely their own, with no external pressure from Reliance, legal groups, or family members. They added that if Reliance was interested in acquiring the domain, they could contact them directly via email, offering a smooth transfer process.
The children also noted that if Reliance was not interested, they would continue sharing updates on their entrepreneurial journey and philanthropic efforts.
