Dubai Authorities Destroy Five Tonnes of Illegal Drugs in Major Crackdown

Dubai – The Dubai Public Prosecution has successfully destroyed at least five tonnes of narcotics and psychotropic substances, marking a significant step in the emirate’s ongoing fight against illegal drug trafficking.

The seized substances were linked to 287 criminal cases, all of which had reached final verdicts. The disposal was conducted with strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations, ensuring the hazardous materials were eliminated responsibly.

Collaboration for a Drug-Free Society

The operation was carried out in close coordination with Dubai Police and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), demonstrating multi-sectoral cooperation in tackling drug-related crimes. Authorities emphasized that local and international standards were strictly followed in the destruction process to prioritize public safety and environmental protection.
