Barcelona and Atletico Madrid Triumph in Champions League Quarter-Final First Legs

In a thrilling clash in the Champions League quarter-finals, Barcelona emerged victorious over Paris Saint-Germain with a 3-2 scoreline, while Atletico Madrid secured a 2-1 win against Borussia Dortmund.

Barcelona seized the initiative in their match at Parc des Princes as Rafinha found the net in the 37th minute, but Ousmane Dembélé swiftly equalized for Paris Saint-Germain early in the second half (48th minute). Vitinha then gave PSG the lead just three minutes later (51st minute), only for Rafinha to restore parity for Barcelona in the 62nd minute. Andreas Christensen sealed the victory for Barcelona with a goal in the 77th minute. The return leg is set to take place at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium in Barcelona on Tuesday, April 16.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid dominated their encounter with Borussia Dortmund at the Metropolitan Stadium, securing a 2-0 lead in the first half courtesy of goals from Rodrigo De Paul (4th minute) and Samuel Leno (32nd minute). Despite Sebastian Heller pulling one back for Borussia Dortmund in the 81st minute, Atletico held on to their advantage. The two sides will face off again in the return leg at Signal Iduna Park next Tuesday.
